STUDY TO TRACK HEALTH OF 200 PRO FOOTBALLERS

FIFPro is today announcing a ground-breaking longitudinal study into the health of 200 professional football players.

Over the course of the next decade, researchers will repeatedly track the cartilage degeneration, mental health, neurocognitive decline and cardiovascular health of the footballers, currently aged between 27 and 29. The players are based in Finland, France, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and Switzerland.

England captain Steph Houghton is backing FIFPro’s campaign to raise awareness about concussion in football.

The Manchester City star and her England teammates attended an education meeting about the potentially-fatal head injury during a training camp as they prepare for the Women’s World Cup.

“We need to protect each other,” Houghton, 31, said. “Winning is important, but our health is far more important.”

"SAFP verurteilt die Transparente der Schaffhausen Fans gegen die Frauen des FC Winterthur aufs Schärfste.

Ein solches Verhalten von Fans ist nicht tolerierbar.

Der Verband wie auch die Strafverfolgungsbehörden sollen aktiv werden.

SAFP fordert mehr RESPEKT für Frauen.

Ein solches Verhalten hat man vor wenigen Tagen noch als undenkbar erachtet und doch ist es eingetreten.
